Montserrat Garibay has won the runoff election for Texas House District 49, earning 62.27% of the vote and securing a decisive victory to represent Central Texas in the Texas Legislature!
The CACSM team is incredibly proud to have worked alongside the Montserrat for Texas campaign. Montserrat’s victory is a direct reflection of the time, care, and compassion she brought to every part of this campaign and every conversation with voters.
As a longtime educator, labor leader, and advocate for Texas families, Montserrat built a campaign centered on listening to the community and fighting for the issues that matter most to Texas House District 49 residents. Her commitment to public service and genuine connection with voters inspired an incredible coalition of supporters across the district.
It was an honor for CACSM to support the campaign’s efforts and work with such a dedicated and inspiring leader. We are deeply grateful to have been part of this victory and to witness the energy, passion, and hard work that made it possible.
For her dedication, positivity, and consistency throughout the campaign, CACSM was proud to have awarded Montserrat the Call Time Champion Award. Call Time isn’t any candidate’s favorite thing to do, but Montserrat put in the work, approaching every call with enthusiasm, determination, and a smile.
