CACSM and our partners Annie’s List and CCR Studios have been awarded a Gold Telly Award for Annie’s List’s 20th Anniversary production “The Woman in the Arena.”
To honor the 20th Anniversary of Annie’s List, a Texas PAC that recruits, supports, and elects pro-choice women to run for office in Texas, CACSM produced “The Woman in the Arena” video. Based on President Roosevelt’s 1910 speech “Citizenship in a Republic”, the word man was replaced with woman and the voiceover, conducted by the Honorable Gina Ortiz Jones, was set to images of some of the many Texas women and allies who have and continue to step into the arena to fight for Texans’ rights.
