To honor the 20th Anniversary of Annie's List, a Texas PAC that recruits, supports, and elects pro-choice women to run for office in Texas, CACSM produced "The Woman in the Arena" video. Based on President Roosevelt's 1910 speech "Citizenship in a Republic", the word man was replaced with woman and the voiceover, conducted by the Honorable Gina Ortiz Jones, was set to images of some of the many Texas women and allies who have and continue to step into the arena to fight for Texans' rights.
Following the fall of Roe v. Wade, two generations of Annie's List fighters were featured in Teen Vogue. Together with Win O'Neal of CCR Studios, CACSM shepherded this project.

After the 2022 election, we celebrated the hardworking latinas that worked on statewide campaigns for Texas democrats. From behind the scenes to in front of the camera, we wanted to recognize the work these women led.

Brea Baker, freedom fighter and writer, has been working on the frontlines for over a decade, first as a student activist and now as a movement journalist and national organizer. When Brea launched her debut book, Rooted: The American Legacy of Land Theft & The Modern Movement for Black Land Ownership, we jumped at the opportunity to organize a book launch in Austin and, later, a meet and greet reception during the Texas Book Festival. You can learn more about Brea at her website.
